Copper Mountain Sunsation

We braved the traffic and crowds to take the kids skiing one last time this season. It was the last day of skiing at Copper Mountain - the weekend is called Sunsation. We all had a great time - warm weather, good snow and skiing!! Sabrina was a really good sport all day. After lunch she asked me to be put in the pack on my back. She fell asleep and slept - on my back while I was helping Hunter ski - for two hours. She's so easy going!
Orion lost his ski as he went over this jump.
Orion sitting on the "big" lift all by himself. He looks cool.
Sabrina is throwing snow at her dad. She is a sassy toddler!
To get to the bigger lift required some walking or poling on skis. We knew that Hunter couldn't make it on his own, so Brett threw him up on his shoulders.
This was Hunter's only time to ski this year. He did great. He will be SO ready for next year. Three on skis - only one more to go until we'll be skiing every weekend as a family :-)
The kids ride this conveyor belt up to the top of a little hill. It's called the Magic Carpet.
Isabella is better at turning one direction. I was encouraging her to work on turning the opposite direction. She kept throwing her hips into to get her body to shift directions.

Snow Day

This is what happens when children (and their parents) are locked in the house for two days because of snow. Isabella found all of their bathing suits. I assume that Isabella helped Sabrina into her suit. Hunter loves to play that the hockey stick is a gun. As far as the goggles ... who knows?

It is in the genes

Hunter asked me if he could ride his bike on the trainer. Brett had propped Orion's bike up like this a few years pack. I really think this was Hunter's ploy to watch more TV than I normally allow him.

Sabrina was thrilled to ride the motorcycles at IT'Z during Orion's birthday party!

Easter at the Wilsons'

They are so rarely all dressed up nicely. I'm lucky I got this one decent picture.

Ready to go hunt Easter eggs!

Our nephew, Drew, - doesn't he looked thrilled? ;-)

Sleeping Beauties

While Brett was out of town last week, I went looking for Barley when it was time for bed. I like to have Barley sleep with me when Brett is gone. I found Barley and Isabella asleep on Isabella's bed just like this. I couldn't believe that Barley was letting Isabella sleep with her head on Barley's chest. Quite cute!

Last week Sabrina had a throw-up virus. It was kind of weird - she threw-up first thing in the morning for four mornings in a row, but didn't throw up any other time. But ... in the event that she might throw-up I kept a bath towel with her. One afternoon she followed me into the kitchen with her blankie, paci and the bath towel. I just laid the towel down on the floor and laid down. I knew she felt horrible when laying on the floor near me was her preference. :-(

April Fools' Day

I was inspired to do something foolish for April Fools' Day this year. This is not my idea; I got it from my friends' son and daughter-in-law. Then I found recipes at Family Fun.

Our first course was cupcakes - that is meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato "icing"

For dessert we had chicken pot pie which was really pudding with candy to look like corn, peas, carrots and chicken.

Honestly, I had more fun making it than the kids did eating it, but it just gives me a challenge for next year.

Orion's Birthday

It is very hard for Brett and I to grasp how quickly time is moving. Orion turned seven years old on March 9th. It just doesn't seem possible. We love being his (and his siblings) parents!

Orion decided he wanted to have a party at IT'Z. It is a place with a pizza & pasta buffet and a HUGE game room. Five of Orion's friends joined us at IT'Z. Here are some pictures:
